Scientism in Chinese Thought, 1900–1950

This book is intended for those interested in the modern transformation and transvaluation in Chinese thought. I have written it primarily to illustrate China's response to one of the major intellectual forces in modern civilization, science. I approached the subject as a student of history of thought, not as a philosopher, scientist, or a historian of science....
