60 years is a rather young age for a philologist, and it would not the reason for celebration if over forty of Roman Timenchik’s colleagues around the world and pupils from the Jerusalem University decided to bring him this cherry-colored book as a gift. Roman Timenchuk is a specialist in Anna Akhmatova and at large in Russian and European poetry and prose, esthetics of soviet culture, life and literature of Russian-Jewish emigration. This collection includes works in all the areas of his scholarly interests as well as a bibliography of his publications.
