The appeal of European identities is becoming increasingly popular in political debates, the renunciation of geopolitical conflicts, as well as the everyday "setting of geography" of the populace. This work is devoted to the question of how the relationship between identity and the representation of the politics' governing principles of geographic conflict are presented. Based on Pierre Bourdieus' Outline of a Theory of Practice , this idea will be further developed by linking political aspects of social identity theory. Thus, the strategic use of political identity as a performance, or as a "Doing Identity", is understood in a sense of conflict and expands the perspective of social geographic research. Janoschka developed this to a theory to study geopolitical conflicts. The conflict around the use, development, and maintenance of farmland on the Mediterranean cost of Spain is used as empirical data. German text.
