Compiled by directors of tea institutes of the 13 countries in the world which mainly produce tea and account over 90 percent of the total output, directors of breeding house and famous breeders, the book systematically introduces the collection, conservancy and appraisal of genetic recourse of tea trees in the main production countries. It also introduces the breeding goals, traditional breeding technologies and appraising standards, system of good breed registering and breeding promotion, as well as applications of biologic technologies in breeding. The book mentions how to take challenges brought by tea trees breeding. It is the first book which systematically discusses the genetic recourse of tea trees in countries which mainly produce tea, the achievements and present situations of breeding technologies and good breed promotion. The book also puts forward some solutions to deal with challenges and opportunities brought by tea trees breeding. Books of the same kind have not appeared internationally.
