This is a sequel to Chen Danqing's well-regarded work Retrogression, and they share the similar style. It is compiled from Chen's essays, speeches, blogs and interviews, where he dissects the education system, discusses the Renaissance and writes about Lu Xun. However, the theme displays an increased weight on literature and art.
