From 2003 to 2013, Liang Zi has entered into Afghanistan alone for four times. Such a female freelance photographer without any government backing tries every effort to experience Afghans' life. She gets to know plenty of friends, including female general who fights in battles, hard-working widow who relies on sell crusty pancakes and the ordinary women who support the whole family with their positive attitude. She finds that these Afghan women living in turbulence have their own ways to live. The appearances under veils are the most beauty in Afghanistan. Every movement is filled with the light of beauty. Apart from recording life, she also goes into Kandahar air field to experience the real life in battlefield.
