During his childhood Chu Ping Yang and his friends would sit outside of an old church and would hear an older lady repeat the same words: Jerusalem. At first, Chu Ping Yang could not understand his obsession with the word. However, shortly before his PhD graduation ceremony, having been questioned by a Jewish professor, he finally discovered that his pursuit for Jerusalem not only originated from the Chinese pronunciation of the word, but also from the confession and atonement that lie deeply within his heart.
