简明中国历史读本

This book is organized by the historians from the Institute of History of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, according to the important proposal by Comrade Jiang Zemin that the whole society should pay attention to learning the history of China. On July 13, 2012, after reading through the first draft of the ""Reader"", Comrade Jiang Zemin is pleased to write a preface. He stresses once again the significance of the whole party and societys learning Chinese history, and recommends the concise history of China to the readers. He said: ""Party members, especially leading cadres should study the history consciously, attach more importance to improving history literacy, read more history, especially the history of the development of the Chinese nation, learn from experience, cultivate taste, and strive to broaden horizons, in order to facilitate the establishment of a correct world outlook, outlook on life and values, enhance the sense of historical mission, improve level and ability of looking into and analyzing problems.
